What is Cinema Ghara?
Many villages and areas of Odisha have no cinema hall, so local audiences miss out on Odia films. Cinema Ghara solves this by setting up temporary cinema halls where the audience is.
Filmwalla arranges the hall and sells the tickets. The earnings are shared between the film producer and Filmwalla.
How it works
Producer joins
An Odia film producer partners with Filmwalla for a Cinema Ghara release.
We choose the places
We pick villages and areas across Odisha with no cinema hall nearby.
A temporary hall is set up
Screen, sound, projection and seating are arranged for the show days.
Tickets sold, profit shared
Filmwalla sells the tickets and the earnings are shared between the producer and Filmwalla.
For producers
Reach audiences and earn from places the regular theatre circuit does not cover.
For villages
See new Odia films on a proper screen, close to home.
For Odia cinema
More shows, more viewers and a wider market for Odia films.
